I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
We are a group of Christians, meeting here in Mount Barker at 54 Wellington Road, who know that living as Jesus wants is best done alongside others. We are people who know that we do not always get it “right” but we know that when we journey together we grow together. Jesus helped so many to find meaning in their lives when nothing around them made sense and we find that as we spend time together we discover more of that meaning through Christian community and service. We are affiliated with the Churches of Christ SA/NT inc.
Our worship service is at 10.00 a.m Sunday mornings. We like to continue our time together after the service chatting over a cuppa and a biscuit or two. Please feel free to get in touch for further details, for a chat or what ever's on your mind. We're a supportive group of people and love to meet new people.
We are a church that supports those in our community who experience difficulty in some way. We offer quality used clothing from our Op-Shop which is managed by volunteer church members. The shop is open at present from Wednesday-Saturday during the hours 10 am-2 pm.
There are people in our community who are in need of company and this is met by our 54 Friends group which meets on Mondays from 10:30-2 pm. providing a safe environment for people to interact and share in a lunchtime meal. This group meets each week except on public holidays and anyone is welcome. We also offer F.I.S.H groups (Fellowship in Someone's Home) held fortnightly, and bible study groups.
On the first Sunday of each month we have a pooled lunch after our worship service. One month is designated to Mission projects and the other is an extended time of fellowship.
